The presentation aims to present a few selected works on aerodynamic and structural optimization of an aircraft, delivered at the SciTech 2017 conference. The main assumptions and the results obtained by the authors will be presented. The presentation will be based on the following publications:

We would like to invite you to HESOFF Workshop organized by Remote Sensing Division, Institute of Aviation. The workshop will focus on remote sensing metodology used in the project (applied to satelite, aerial/UAV and laboratory data).

Four main topics:

1. HESOFF Project – remote sensing methods (Institute of Aviation)
2. Remote Sensing Division at the Institute of Aviation – aerial data acquisition and processing methods
3. Remote sensing in vegetation condition monitoring
4. HESOFF laboratory spectral analyses

Summary:

Presentation will cover the aims and objectives of the project realized within the framework of Innovative Economy Operational Programme (PO IG) Action 1.3.1. Participants will be acquainted with the profile of the business partner – a company which can influence the range of project tasks and is a main and sole recipient of all results and deliverables of the project.Main stages of the project works will be discussed, including the methods for solving particular research issues. Following that, the presenter will talk about the key results of the project, their characteristics and practical applications of the results by the business partner.At the end of the presentation, the general conclusions as well as prospects of possible future cooperation with the industry, particularly with the SME sector, within Innovative Economy Operational Programme will be delivered.

Summary:

Fast development observed in the unmanned aviation sector brings brand new opportunities of using small aircraft in, so far, inaccessible territories. Running missions in Antarctic conditions pose numerous challenges in terms of logistics, planning and task performance.

One must not only overcome the technology connected obstacles, but must also face problems arising from the unpredicted weather conditions. During his presentation, the speaker will discuss issues and problems he faced during photogrammetric flights over the area ofPolish Antarctic Station named after H.Arctowski.
