SAT-AM is a research project funded by the European Commission under the CLEAN SKY 2 initiative. The total project budget is EUR 9 million, with funding from the European Commission, amounting to EUR 6 million.

The consortium, coordinated by the Institute of Aviation, consists of 8 partners representing the airline industry and research institutions. Aside from the Institute of Aviation the consortium includes: PZL Mielec, Eurotech, Shel-Tech, P.W. Metrol, Ultratech, Aviation Plant Margański & Mysłowski and the Italian institute for research and development Centro Italiano Ricerche Aerospaziali (CIRA). The completion of the SAT-AM project is planned for 2021.

As a result of research, analysis and implementation, new technologies for aircraft structures will be developed. New elements will be tested and implemented as components of the cab and engine nacelle in M28 aircraft.
