since January 1st 2015 I had been having the pleasure of managing a new technical division in the Institute of Aviation – Center for Composite Technologies (CCT).
The main activity of the Centre is to provide composite technology solutions and composite material tests for aviation industry as well as carry out R&D projects. The CCT employs qualified specialists with the long term experience in research of composite materials.
The CCT has unique accredited testing laboratory. Its facility enables employees to perform strength tests, impact tests, non-destructive tests and physico-chemique tests on composite materials. Currently the Centre carries out many R&D projects within the framework of domestic program Applied Research Programme of the National Centre for Research and Development, Innovative Economy Operational Programme and Framework Programmes of the European Union.
The mission of the Centre is to continually support aviation industry in implementing state of the art technologies of composites structures manufacturing such as OOA technique. Creating joint undertakings the Centre cooperates with Polish and foreign enterprises and research organizations from aviation industry. In the nearest future to develop the Centre, we are going to increase the number of researchers and widen the area of our activity.
The CCT is open for new challenges and cooperation with companies from aviation industry as well as other sectors of the economy.
