On 19-20th May 2016, the Institute of Aviation was the venue for the 34th EREA Board and General Assembly. EREA (Association of European Research Establishments in Aeronautics), is a non-profit organization, associating European national research institutes from the field of aeronautics. Institute of Aviation is also a member of this organization.
We would like to invite all experts in aviation and other fields to a two-hour open seminar during which the perspectives in European research and innovation for the global aerospace until 2050 will be presented.
Representatives of the Ministry of Development, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the National Centre for Research and Development and the Institute of Aviation have been invited to present their ideas and visions in the above mentioned topics. The meeting will be opened by Mr. Bruno Sainjon, President of EREA (Association of European Research Establishments in Aeronautics) and CEO of ONERA (The Office National d’Etudes et de Recherches Aérospatiales) from France.
Considering the extraordinary character of the meeting , we believe that for many of you it will become a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and share experiences with the representatives of major European research institutions in the fields of aviation and aerospace. The Association will be represented by delegates from 14 research institutes from countries such as: Germany (DLR), the Netherlands (NLR), France (ONERA), Italy (CIRA), Sweden (FOI), Romania (INCAS), the Czech Republic (VZLU) and many others.
On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Institute’s establishment, the members of EREA Executive Secretary were also invited to participate in this meeting. This special anniversary had an important influence over the decision to organize the Assembly at the Institute of Aviation. The EREA Board and General Assembly will be linked to the 90th anniversary ceremonies, and the members of both, EREA Board as well as Executive Secretariat will participate in the Gala and Great Jubilee Board, which will take place on the 20th of May.
