On April 18, 2018 in Brussels at CLORA’s headquarters another meeting of members of the “Security for Aviation Group” working group of the EREA association (Association of European Research Establishments in Aeronautic) of the European Union took place. The meeting concerned the European way of civil aviation protection (Comprehensive European Approach to the Protection of Civil Aviation).

As a result of the work of the “Security for Aviation” members, a report is prepared in the field of organizational and technical matters. EREA is ready to strengthen cooperation with the European Commission, including a priority objective for the 9th Framework Program of the European Union (FP9 EU Research & Innovation Framework Program). The aim of the program is to establish Europe as a global leader in the decisive international and social challenge of increasing employment in aviation and land transport in the EU.

The Institute of Aviation was represented at the meeting by professor Adam Wiśniewski from the Center of Composite Technologies at the Institute of Aviation.
