Between 30th November and 3rd December 2010, Institute of Aviation with polish embassy in Chile, was representing Poland during International Maritime and Naval Exhibition and Conference for Latin America – EXPONAVAL 2010 which took place in Valparaiso in Chile.

On the exhibition were presented for the wide audience flying machines, constructed at the Institute of Aviation. Beyond personal business aircraft I-23 Manager, a single engine, four seat, low-wing monoplane, Institute of Aviation presented also rescue-patrol hoovercraft PRC-600 “Ranger”. It was the only hoovercraft presented during the exhibition, and visitors were extremely interested in it. PRC-600 is mainly designed for rescue and patrol actions. It can move on land, desert, on inland waters, swamps and almost everywhere, where use of car or boat is impossible. The primary users are: police, fire departments, border guards, water rescue and flood service, oil & gas investigation.

It is worth to mention, that on 11th novembere 2010, biggest Chilian journal – El Mercurio – wrote a lot not only about Poland, but also about the Institute of Aviation. Half of the page (from two in total) was devoted to present personal business aircraft I-23 Manager and Hoovercraft PRC-600 Ranger.
