The products of the Institute of Aviation at the “Per aspera ad astra” exhibition

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Polish independence the Warsaw University of Technology opened an exhibition “Per aspera ad astra” presenting the cross-section of the most interesting constructions and achievements of Polish aviation and astronautics.

Among the presented exhibits the latest constructions of the Institute of Aviation are presented: ILR-33 “Amber” rocket, SUDIL anti-drone system and MOSUPS unmanned aerial vehicle.

Visitors can also get acquainted with the most outstanding figures of Polish aviation, including: Tadeusz Sołtyk (a constructor of sports and school airplanes, a professor of technical sciences), Stanisław Skalski (an aviator, a participant of the Battle of Britain) and Stanisław Skarżyński (the first Pole who flew across the Atlantic and established a global record in flight distance).

The opening of the exhibition was accompanied by a conference attended by representatives of Polish aviation institutions and organizations, the aviation industry and student science clubs operating at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology.

At the invitation of the organizers, the director of the Institute of Aviation, Paweł Stężycki, PhD,  gave a presentation on the “100 years of cooperation between science and industry (from the perspective of the Institute of Aviation)”. The presentation was accompanied by a short film presenting the latest achievements of the Institute of Aviation.

The exhibition “Per aspera ad astra” will be opened on October 22-23 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.. Entrance free.
